Half price rental day. Rented a used EHX B9. Always loved those old analog organ sounds Hammond B3, Vox Continental, etc. The other day I checked with my local L&M @ Whyte Ave, but this is not a preferred rental, so they would only do a used one. There was one at Edmonton South (a larger store), so I drove down first thing this morning (which is 10:30 for me) and rented one, ~$8 for a month w/o theft protection. Also had a nice time in the acoustic room. I like the acoustic room at Edmonton South.

So now I have this toy to play with for a month. I've already got a close approximation of Alan Price's Vox Continental for House of the Rising Sun. The Jon Lord sound is taking a little more work. Yes, a nice toy.

The C9 has a setting called Lord Purple--guess who that was based on...
But there are similar sounds on the b9--

Enjoy the month.

I too went to have a look around for 1/2 price goodies.
I find a Tech21 FlyRig Ritchie Kotzen.
I'll see if it can replace "all the pedals" that I have purchased, or keep in the gig bag as my emergency amp/board.

Sent from my other brain.
