Does anyone here have any experience with keeley modded boss pedals? I have always wanted to try one and a DS-1 has turned up on kijiji. The problem is the guy just has "please contact" as the price with, low ballers will be ignored. I contacted him asking for a price but he can't come up with one. Lol. What are these worth these days?

Is it an actual Keeley modded DS-1, or a DS-1 that someone found out how to do the mods on? Not that I expect any voodoo magic attached to the actual Keeley modded one, but if you were to have any questions to address to Keeley, then what you have in your hands should correspond to what they expect. In other words, it could sound just as good, but you should expect to pay a little more for something that the seller may have paid $50 to get done.

I had one for a while.
It sounded slightly warmer than a stock DS-1 and had a bit more gain on tap.
It wasn't earth shattering.
It wasn't anything I couldn't have sounded like several other ways.
Don't pay any more than you're comfortable parting with.
If you don't get it, it's not the end of the world.

Now the Keeley SD-1 ... that was a pedal I regretted selling.
