I have a jtm45 kit build that I'm thinking of modifying to a jcm800 style preamp. Looking at the schematics theres way more filtering in the jcm. What concerns me about the jtm is that v1 and v2 share the same filter cap (16uf). Where the 1987 and 2204's have an additional filter cap and decoupling resistor. If I were to convert the preamp would I be able to get away with increasing that filter cap or do I have to add another filter cap and decouple v1 and v2. I'm already asking for oscillation problems cramming everything into a small chassis.
