Solo or with band?

"If there is no soundscape, it's folk music."

Even tho I know nothing about the guy's music, when I heard this quote by him in a documentary about Wilco, I steered my music in that direction. So he is a big influence right now.

I may be in Hamilton in April. What should I listen to in preparation?

I am not very familiar with the Tweedy/Wilco songbook either. The only Wilco CD I own is YHF, which is quite good. However, the Wilco concert I went to a few years ago I Calgary was among the best concerts I have ever seen. Jaw dropping good.

Tweedy on his own, or with another band might be a different thing, but I might take a chance.

I have a DVD that is him solo and yes its a folk music concert but the songs take on a different feel or life that make it seem like new tunes rather then a Wilco song. I'm pretty excited to see the show
