I have been keeping my eyes open for one , a 900 series bottom cab , for awhile . It occurred to me that there are probably a lot less of these available , most bought the slant cab I would imagine. Am I wasting my time ?

Are you on a mission to own every awesome Marshall related piece of gear you can find? If so, that's an honourable mission! I can't give any advice on the bottom cabs since I've always owned the slant/top cabs. For no other reason that they seem to be more readily available than the bottom cabs

Don't know why you'd want a 900 in particular... except if you really want to match a head
Some people say the 900 series 1960 cabs don't have plywood sides, but I've never seen any proof of that (I'd still check to make sure if ever you find one)
A JCM800 / JCM2000 / 1960 branded one should have the same specs, AFAIK

rare doesn't always correlate to desirable or valuable.

Also people probably have jcm900 labelled cabs that they just list as 1960's because they assume its trivial.
