The chassis I have has 6L6 tubes installed and the components seem to support these tubes. From what I've seen, every Traynor BassMaster has EL 34 type tubes installed. Does anyone know if Peter Traynor built a any amps with 6L6 in 1963? The Traynor website or any of the other sites dedicated to Traynor have little info on these pre BassMaster amps.

Early bassmasters and the dynabass ran 7027s. Over the years many guys subbed in 6L6s because it was an easy "mod" and offered more options.

Dyna bass

Had a little time to surf around today, and couldn't find out any more than you know. An article says Pete Traynor lives near Alliston Ont. but it appears that he has no current interest in amps. The dedicated sites for Traynor seem to be relatively inactive.
good luck and I guess keep surfing. (and rocking)
cheers
