I am trying to stop my habit of looking at Kijiji several times every day and evening.

I tend to buy stuff based primarily on the fact that it is a good deal. Quite often, I regret buying it and typically decide to sell/donate it within a fairly short period of time.

Admittedly, the "hunt" was usually a lot of fun and I did meet some very interesting people.

I'm now using my time more constructively ...I'm checking the GC Forum several times per day. I'm not specifically looking at gear that is for sale...but I don't pressure myself into resisting those threads.

If I'm at my computer anyway, and there's nothing of interest going on here or the other forums I'm on, then I'll check Kijiji if it's been a few hours since the last check. I generally don't pursue anything unless it is maybe $50 or less. That narrows down the field considerably, and has often provided some treasures. On the other hand, since prices that low attract others, one has to be quick on the draw or else it's gone.

I check it every hour. I am a serious addict.
It sucks as I just get frustrated as sellers list stuff every hour and its the same ridiculously overpriced stuff all the time.
Kijiji Montreal has 13,000 ad in musical instruments and there is not more than a dozen or so sellers.

I was half way out the door to go buy an amp from some dude local on kijji then he sends a text saying his wife doesn’t allow him to have anyone in the house after 8:00 pm. I thought “this is fucked up” and next day or so I got an amp from L&M instead. That was the only time I tried to buy something offa kijji.

I don't think that is that fucked up. My wife doesn't really like me to have random people from kijiji over to our house at all, and she really wouldn't want me to have someone over to try and amp in the evening after she has been working.

Same here.. sometimes a sure sale isn't worth the days of nagging that follows.

Wouldn’t need to go inside. I have a generator in the back of my truck could have just fired it up and blasted the amp at the end of his driveway .. lol

I can do it for you. This is a nice Ibanez Artcore Expressionist hollowbody for sale in your area.
HaHa...Too Late...It didn't work!

Ironically though, I had looked at that exact ad several times since it was first posted. @Hamstrung and I also looked at one at the Cambridge L&M not all that long ago. Very nice guitar!

My Epi Casino Coupe is plenty for me. I just have to focus on learning to play it!!
