2 weeks to upload money from my bank account to my PayPal account. I better not see an "Out of Stock" message in 2 weeks.

Well that's not a very fun read.

I've used it a handful of times and never had any issues. Hopefully I don't. But I only keep in there what I need for an upcoming purchase.
I've used PayPal and the time that they give you to transfer the other way (from them to your bank) is always shorter than they tell you it is going to be. I got my last transfer in a little over a day. I think they give you the eta on the late side to keep you from trying to contact them.

Has anyone ever tried to contact e-bay? There is a nightmare. They have pages that allow you to ask choice questions or report certain problems, but if your issue does not fall into one of these categories you are SOL. A company of that size should have a toll free support number - at least for sellers.
PPal

I've said some negative things about PayPal in other postings............for the fact that I know many of my friends who have been shystered by them..............mostly from guys on Ebay.

eBay is too big now to answer all inquiries. It's a shame that eBay and Paypal IS the same entity. Never ending fees, problems can't be solved, basically, they don't care much, they have millions of users paying fees and they make tons of cash. The more that things change, the more they stay the same. I bet when eBay started, when they were hungry, when they were innocent and pure the service was top notch. Now that they make millions daily, they just don't care, just like every other big company. They are all there for the money. At first, they wanna do good and do the right thing but as soon as they start to really pile up money, they quickly forget about "doing what's right", everything becomes "cashable". The more you make, the more you want. I'm tired of eBay.

Take a gander at the ad at the top of the page. What do you want to bet that "Cardservice International" (a paypal competitor..) has something to do with the Paypal Sucks site?

Also, that Paypal Sucks site has been around forever. Most of the really serious problems were from before eBay bought them. It's improved dramatically since.
Also, remember that for every 10 people that have a fine experience with a product or service, there's always one that, if any problem is encountered, will start frothing at the mouth and ranting about how they'll never, ever buy or use that service again. And nothing will satisfy them short of being given lots of free stuff or money. Then they start a site like that and attract other frothers. You never see any "so and so is awesome!" sites because people that are happy with something typically don't care enough to start one.

For what I've used it, Paypal does it's job.
doesnt paypal just charge your credit card..?

Yeah, but you can have it linked to a bank account instead/as well if you'd like.

ok, cuz ive noticed theres an account balance, and ive always been like... wtf mate?
You'd have an account balance if you had people sending money to you. And then you'd have to transfer it to your CC or bank account if you wanted to turn it into "real" money.
I like to use it as my little music fund online bank account.

Well, I was just topping it up this week with some recent gig money.
I have used PayPal since it first came out, I have never had an issue with it. The fees are getting up there, but so are eBay fees. Get on to our new auction site boy's. Let's get it going. Sign up today.

That's actually a nice auction site. I'm going to give it a try.

Thanks.
