Just curious if anyone on the forum has played the Ibanez AS153(artstar) or the JSM10 (John Scofield). I'm curious to know the build quality of those guitars. L&M lists them around $1400.00. I know they are made in China. i don't care so long as its a quality piece that will stand up. They look nice but i wonder if i should save my pennies for the prestige. Anyone own one and have some comments on the quality of construction?

Nope, but I have had Ibanez hollow body guitars and the fit and finish was perfect. I have also read the reviews on most of their hollow body guitars because I like most of them and every review I have read have been excellent. While you have to take some reviews with a "grain of salt" I always weed out what appears to be amateurish and concentrate only on the ones with depth and they are always glowing with appreciation. They just make excellent guitars at many price points.
