Someone authoritative, but I don't recall who, on TV yesterday said there are no *more* tropical storms, just the severity tends to be worse as the ocean gets a little warmer.

My cousin and her family live in Lakeland and aren't evacuating.

I hope they're alright.

I don't care what's what as long as millennials get blamed for all of it.

Scientists have been sending warnings about this for decades, but corporate leaders of the world and their puppets, have always denied the facts. It's now payback time, and it's not about to stop. Better hold on to your tuque (tie it with barbed wire).

but on the serious side,

the religion of climate change is just as rabid as atheism, or veganism, or any of the other beliefs where people annoy the shit out of you by expecting you to believe the same thing they do with little credible evidence. when they can produce models that are verifiably consistent, it will be a big step towards the kind of accuracy that brings undeniable credibility. until then they are guessing, and that's not science or logic. no matter how educated, a guess is just a guess. it's schrodinger's cat.
