Yeah that's all wrong. You have to soak it overnight.

I find a kiddie pool works great.

the stream of water running out the jack hole was a nice touch. :D

but why would a guitar ever be that dirty?
Very informative but he forgot to add that this needs to be done after each time it is played.

It is shiny now. Given that it is a bolt-on, he can use the neck to paddle more water.

I'm wondering if he had plugged the guitar in to play, right after the wash job, (as part of the video) if he would have done the "funky chicken"?
I always liked Jimi's lighter fluid technique....

Since water is much safer......might as well do it right and get in to all of the cracks and crevices.

Don't forget to put it in the dryer with a fabric softener sheet to get rid of the static and pick up noise. Works great for getting rid of that 60 Hz hum with single coils.

that reminds me a lot of living in the Philippines. And this looks like Phils or Indonesia anyway, but that is called "rebuilding" in that part of the world. Rebuilding anything involves taking it apart, cleaning it and putting it back together. Forget about fixing any problems, if it looks good, its brand new. Its a lot of fun having things "fixed" in that part of the world.
