Hey guys,

I've got a Fender Blues Junior, probably 10 years old now, and I'm looking to upgrade the sound a little. Some replacement tubes are probably in order, and also I'm thinking about changing the speaker. Something tighter, brighter and better!

Suggestions or advice? I'd be curious about any electronic mods too...

Red White and blues or a Celestion Century for the speaker, and any decent 6L6"s. Depending on your budget, the JJ's are good, or you could go for some Phillips 7581's. (approx.125.00 a pair),

it uses el84's.



and in that series of modern fender amps, the only difference you will hear in tubes is the change in output. too much other stuff in there that affects the tone.



I like it stock, and I would advise caution with modding it yourself unless you know what you're doing. the speaker will be the biggest change and one thing that I found slightly lacking

I did the BillM mods to mine and I'm very pleased with the results.
