My new guitar just arrived- about an hour ago as I write this.

The guitar is a Dillion DRT-69 A 'Rosie', which is a kind of nod towards and copy of George Harrison's Rosewood Telecaster. (see Photos and First Impressions below).

I managed to get away with only paying $25.00 duty, for which I am thankful.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Action - looks higher than it plays (i.e., plays quite well).

Sound - I will have to get used to this, but there do seem to be quite a few different tones available; although the tones seem to be a mite generic.

Intonation - 3 strings are OK, and 3 others need some slight tweaking, but overall I am quite impressed (out of the box the guitar was only a semi-tone out of tune on all the strings)

Feel - neck is probably a 12" radius - high and flattish; reminds me of my Casino and Strat Classic Player 60s in feel; wish it was a little chunkier (like my LP, but overall I like the neck).

Slightly lighter in weight than my MIM Standard Strats.

Finish - a couple of the screws are slightly wonky; a kind of blemish or lack of paint behind the top left corner of the nut.

Overall - Feels like a copy, but it is a copy. I am quite happy with it.

Tell about the body. Is it veneer or what? Thanks.
Sorry, just saw the replies on this thread now - have not logged in for a while.

Yes, it is veneer, but you would never know it - the guitar is pretty solid and weighty, and there is no visible seam or join of any sort.

The main body wood is mahogany, apparently.

Some of the Rosie's seem to come with 6 saddles, and others, like mine, come with a compensated 3 saddle spec..
