So after a few days of messing around with my "new" Heritage Stat, I've remembered a couple of things:
1) How incredible a mahogany set neck/body with good single coils feels, plays and sounds, and
2) Why we pay four or six figure prices when we can, instead of a couple of hundred dollars.

CNC machines and cheap labour can produce a pretty good guitar for under $500, but until someone who knoes what he/she is doing picks and matches wood, pickups, hardware etc. all we have to choose from is good guitars: great ones are hard to find.
