I never wanted to do anything other than mic my own amps but now need a way to play quietly. Got the le pou plugin amp Sims. Can't seem to load and use IRs. Need help with rar files and file management. Where do I put them once I have them. Windows 10 system.

Here's a tutorial I found on YouTube:

Also, if the plugins are 32 bit they go into the C:/ProgramFiles/X86 folder. Make a folder called Plugins or VSTPlugins and put them in there. If they're 64 bit they go into the C:/ProgramFiles folder. Same thing, make a folder and put them in there.

I would just check the reaper settings under the vst or virtual instruments tab to find the folders that reaper is set to scan on startup for vsts.

Then right click on the rar and extract to the right 32 or 64 bit vst folder.

Then when back in reaper scan for new vsts and they should come up.

Make sure you have your gain staging set decently and that you have also loaded Poulin cab or whatever its called right after the amp in the fx chain.

Sorry not sure if that was covered in the vid.
