How many guitars does a guitar player need?

I've had an account here for many years, but haven't really posted anything. I guess here I am!
I'm a software developer in Vancouver mostly focusing on mobile (and mostly Android at that). I started playing way back, but lost my motivation because I wasn't all that good. A few years ago I got hit with the GAS virus and bought 5 guitars in 2 years.
My symptoms are more or less under control now (or maybe I just don't have room for more than 5 guitars in an apartment), with a long 'wish list'.

I've recently gotten into recording via mic'd speakers and there's a lot to learn.

Welcome "new old guy"! I don't know who you are but let me introduce myself to you and welcome you warmly to the best ever virtual hangout in all the years I have been on guitar forums!

My name is Lola and it's always nice to have some new blood! ;) I am one of a kind here I do believe. The only female to have survived. Lol

Click your heels together 3 times and say, "there's no place like home" and you will be there.

Welcome to the forum!

I have just 1 guitar these days. Used to have nearly a dozen. I would say all a guitarist ever "needs" is one. It's just more fun and can be more inspiring at times to have more.

Exactly. Different guitars inspire me differently. My guitars tell me what to play
