Based on a thread a couple weeks ago over at HCBF about how good and cheap Hartke strings are, I ordered a 3 pack of 5 string bass strings from MusicWonderland on Ebay. $34 CAN is what it worked out to with the current exchange rate. They paid for shipping and even sent it as a "Gift" so I didn't have to pay any customs or duty. Even $10-$15 duty and it would have been a good deal for 3 sets of strings. I used to pay $34.95 for 1 set of D'Addario 5 string nickels at my local shop.

3 sets of 5 string nickel roundwounds for $34! I'm a happy man!

I might have to try those. The coating is starting to come off the strings on my 6-string bass.

Bad news is 6-string coated elixers bass strings are at least $75

I haven't actually tried them yet, but I've heard they're good.
