Obviously it depends on the instructor, but as a general rule, would you say guitar lessons via Skype are a good idea, or a bad idea? Pros and cons? Anyone done it?

This a great question as I have been thinking about pursuing a few lesson with this method...

I guess the question is: Why Skype versus lessons in person? If there is something you want to learn and there is no one local to you who can teach it then it's a great idea.
Precisely. Just wondering if anyone had actually done it and how it worked for them.

I used to know a guy who did Skype lessons and he always gave great multiple camera angles, sound, and follow-up. He received lousy webcam angles, and crappy sound in return.
