Just wanted to let you know that the annual Woofstock two day festival is running again this Saturday the 27th and Sunday the 28th. For the past 13 years this has always been a free event but this year they're charging admission. It's $10.00 for a weekend pass or $12.00 if you're only going on either Saturday or Sunday. They say on the website that the admission fee will be going to various charities and they have a list of the charities on their website: 2017 Tickets - Woofstock It's once again being held at Woodbine Park (Beaches area). See the main website Home - Woofstock for the location.
It's funny, I just noticed the sign for this yesterday(work close by) and thought to myself, "if you build it, they will come". LOL. Organizers are lucky the rain stopped or the park would be submerged.
I was there today and was kind of disappointed. I don't know whether it was because they were charging this year or whether people were wary because of the mainly cloudy skies. I didn't even bother going in as the turnout wasn't anywhere near where it was the last time I was there and it seemed like they had less space this year. I did get to see the water diving dogs and that was kind of fun but other than that it wasn't really worthwhile. I'm hoping that next year they'll drop the admission charges.
