Hell hath no fury.....

I saw other photos of this guitar on another forum. The neck is in three or four pieces, the back is cracked in two and riddled with hammer marks. It took a huge amount of effort and sustained rage to accomplish that. I wonder if she was a Pete Townsend fan.

Sustained Rage

Sounds like a death metal band. Yeah this was not an act of impulse. She had lots of time to calm down but was able to stay mad for the entire "process".

Prozak anyone?

Kindling Anyone?

I agree that those Gibsons are beautiful sounding and drop-dead gorgeous-looking guitars! I also agree it was a travesty that his wife would get so mad at him to smash it up!

However, I do have to question, why 5 "numbnuts" made an offer on that bunch of trash! Sorry but it is trash now! Did you see the cost of shipping the kindling to Canada ... $47.50 for the cheapest rate! I have bought stuff from Warpdrive Musical in the past and I can say they do not have a good knowledge of Geography but they obviously know what sells. I have a small piece of Ringo Starr's drumstick that I would be willing to let go!

On reflection the title of this thread was in poor taste.

Obviously NO guitar is worth a human life. I tried to edit the title but can't seem to do it.

I think "Grounds for a sound spanking" might have been more appropriate.

No offence intended folks.
