Hello everyone!
I stumbled upon this forum when I was Googling for some replacement Grover tuner buttons. A forum member on here has what I want, and I have what he wants. Hopefully we can make it pan out ;-).
I'm over 50 and have zero music background. I was gifted an Ovation guitar by my wife when I turned 40, but never learned to play (found the guitar was torture on the fingers!!!). When my son decide to start paying (4 years ago), I sat in on his lessons, and used an electric from the teacher. Being a weeeee bit of a U2 fan, a friend pointed out an Epiphone Korina Explorer for sale at a local shop. Well, it too was gifted to me by my wife and I haven't looked back. I'm still very terrible, but have a ton of fun trying!!!
I now own the previously mentioned Ovation (which I can now play without bleeding), the Explorer, black Squier 70's VM Strat, Bacardi's Squier Bullet Strat (hanging on the wall as decoration), Epiphone Toby Standard IV bass, Traveler Ultra-light electric (for work/travel practice). And I just last week added to the collection an Epiphone Les Paul Custom Pro Blackback..... I'm trusting most of you can see how some choices were influenced by the Edge. I guess for me it's also a bit of a hobby to collect these guitars. Although, I think I have all i want....... for now. I need to concentrate on finding "my sound", whatever that may be.
I look forward to delving into the forum and find out what I can learn.
Thanks for reading.
