Yep, just went to my local L&M and purchased a new Traynor YCV50 with my (50th) birthday money! What a sweet amp! I decided not to bother waiting around for the YCS50 and just go for this one, and I love it! Will be saving up next for the 1x12 extension cabinet, I'm sure, but that will take a while. I decided that after using my Peavey Heriatge VTX since 1986 (!!!), it was time for a change...

Congrats! I've played through that amp on a couple of weekend occasions and it's all the amp I figure I'll ever need. It kind of looks cool, too.

Congratulations and all that...love my YCV50.

Peace, Mooh.
Way to go, I've got that same amp too.....
good call!

but why not wait for the YCS? its like the 50 and the 80 combined.. which would be even better then just the 50, IMO.

Congrats, you beat me to it!
If I may ask how much did you end up buying it for before taxes?
I plan on buying it this month and was hoping to grind a bit of a deal out of L & M seeing as they are part of the same company that makes Traynor!
Its nice to be able to support a Canadian made product that is well made!

Enjoy:food-smiley-004:
The price was $795 CDN, and the manager, a friend of mine, said that L&M would not allow him to dicker on the price. It is apparently their policy to offer the best available price (regardless of the fact that they are affiliated with Traynor) and not go below it, because they don't like the idea of one L&M store selling for less than another store and causing problems by people buying the same items for different prices at different locations and then comparing prices. That being said, mine was in one of the guitar lesson studios, so they were able to sell it to me for $745 as a floor model, with a full warranty, so I feel good about that.
