Anyone know of any good really cheap 7 strings? I wanted to find one to have a bit more fun (unless I try a really wacky tuning). Maybe do some upgrades on the bridge, pickups, pots and a more solid output jack but other than that, the guitar should be decent. Solid neck, frets that wont wear out too easily. Finish doesn't matter at all.

I realize cheap is a relative thing, but a few months ago I was in the same boat and almost pulled the trigger on an LTD SC-207 (around $500). Very well put together guitar, and not just for the price. If you can stand used guitars, troll your local classifieds or the boards for one, the time of 7-strings being popular has long passed, and you can probably find a decent deal on a used one.

I had that Ibanez Violation posted from LaMusic. What a workout! Your leads seem to go forever on a 7!!! First fat string is tuned to B. :rockon2:

Yup, I've fallen in love with 7 strings... don't own one yet, but I make sure I play one everytime I go to the store, lol.
