The post by M A T T about his '79 Strat (9.4 lbs) has me wondering how much everyone's Strats weigh.

So what kind of Strat do you have and how much does it weigh?

I'll kick it off: I have a Fender Custom Shop '65 Relic Strat - weighs 8.0 lbs.

Cheers,

Blair

My bathroom scales aren't accurate enough to weigh a guitar. On the aside, it generally runs about 10 pounds lighter than the scales at the doctor's office, so I really prefer mine.

But anyway,

my Les Paul weighs 8 lbs 12 oz, my Strat is a bit lighter, so I'll approximate

'98 Am Standard Strat 8 - 8 1/2 lbs

Hey,

That's a nice light LP. Mine's 9 lbs and a couple oz and players comment on how light it is for an LP.

Cheers,
Blair
hey, thanks. I like LPs in the 8.5 to 9.5 range.

anytime I start thinking any of my guitars are heavy, I take my '74 Custom to a practice.

as someone once said, "these things weigh about as much as a Marshall half stack"

I know that it's supposed to be a Strat thread but a couple of people give the weight of other brand so I put mine too! ;)

I have a Parker P-44 and it's 7 pounds! What I look it's a light axe! I don't try enought guitars to compare but it's a great player!
