Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, LEADER! LEADER! LEADER!

Interesting. I hope this means good things for Gibson. A new era, I guess!

so it's business as usual then. this guy will be just a different version of henry j.
you know, in an hour and a half, they'll draw the mega millions lottery here. it's 1.6 billion, or the cash option is 913 million. i'm in a pool with some guys at work. if we win, maybe i'll buy gibson, and we can run it right from this board. we'll all get matching t-shirts

Give the new guys (and woman) two years before issuing a report card. Can't expect them turn things around overnight.

They should have picked me. I would have put everything into the Darkfire II.

Finally! Now one would no longer have to tape their extra picks to a mic stand. lol.

You know, this isn't rocket science.

  1. Make guitars people want
  2. Build on your heritage and legacy
  3. Play nice with your dealers and don't put them through hell as if you own their souls
  4. Participate in the guitar community, listen to feedback and respond
  5. Experiment, but experiment gently and with careful thought. You are not a start-up
That's it. Every decision you make should be based around the question "is this what the guitar community would like to see?"

Gibson? That's a guitar company isn't it? I hear they make mediocre Epiphone copies.

I think that they copy Japanese guitars from the '70s.

All my guitars resemble that remark.

If I was to buy a Les Paul style guitar (highly unlikely as that may be), I'd head to Epiphone or Tokai before Gibson.

They're trying to make money ;)

The "guitar community" can never agree on anything.
