I was looking at buying a guitar and when I asked what model, the seller said it was a Gibson J50 but the headstock lettering is nothing like I have ever seen before. Is it possible that it is a J50?

possible that someone used a Sharpie to make that ukulele into a 'Gibson', .. as a friend I'd tell you to not fall for the marketing

I thought maybe there was some anomaly way back then but I got some responses at AGF saying it was a fake too. I emailed the seller and he says some guy got it for him in 1965 with a crack in the headstock and no name on it and his friend put the name on it for him. Yea, right! I reported the ad.
