Yeah, if they keep doing it how special are the resultant issues? It's quite the marketing ploy and though I don't mind if it's working for them it's certainly not for me... if they do it long enough there will be so many "special" models that the market will be permanently confused by sheer profusion of choices and, consequently, their relative value as collector pieces will suffer. I dunno, that's what it seems like to me, looking from the outside. Given extremely limited funds, I think I'd rather collect timeless classics rather than boutique-ish one-offs or limited series.
Although I do favour that antique satin walnut SG... it has a nice understated look.
