GHS Boomers Zakk with EP SG400

Hey all, I got some GHS Boomers, Zakk series and I have an epiphone SG400 guitar. I read somewhere you can't use these strings on the guitar, something to do with making holes bigger and a new bridge. Dunno if this is true, but before I install them to try them out has anyone used these on the same guitar I have or can shed some light on the matter?

Thanks
Jeff

I have never heard of such a thing, but if it's true, it is a bad marketing decision to do something like that. I would assume you can use them on any guitar.
The only thing you should have to do is file the nut so they fit, pretty big strings.
