Great Video. Enjoy!
Good to know. And before that, in the early '70s, Greuhn was partners with Tut Taylor in a tiny shop called GTR, about one block east of the Ryman. I bought an LG-O there from him that I had through college and beyond. The "GTR" sign from that shop still sits in the entrance of his current one.A lot of folks aren't aware of it, but the old Johnny Cash Show was recorded in the Ryman Auditorium. If you look at this Streetview pic, you'll see the former site of Gruhn's on your left and the back of the Ryman on your right. The structure on the right was built recently, and takes up what would have been half the old parking lot of the Ryman. At the time, it was a 100yd trot - if not less - from the artists' entrance at the back of the Ryman to Gruhn's. So you can only begin to imagine the kinds of people and instruments that made the journey across the parking lot.
