Packing and prepping orders are always priority one for us. Then all the usual business stuff. If there's extra time, all sorts of shenanigans can ensue.

I don't believe in overworked, over-stressed, underpaid, and underappreciated staff. I want people to want to work here because it is an awesome environment where the staff are valued and they take pride in their work. Having a great time while doing it by drawing some gorillas playing guitar is even more awesome!

I think many do. It's just harder to hang on to that attitude when the company gets bigger, and/or profit margins get smaller.

I don't pretend to be an expert on business, but it would seem that happy employees would work better, harder and healthier than those who are just collecting a cheque and watching the clock.

I don't pretend to be an expert on business, but it would seem that happy employees would work better, harder and healthier than those who are just collecting a cheque and watching the clock.

That's due to the belief held by so many that if you're enjoying yourself, how could you be working? I completely agree an engaged, happy individual is going to make your company money & be financially rewarding for themselves, everytime over a slave enterprise.
