I just recently got a Seagull acoustic that has a silver leaf maple fretboard. My MIM telecaster has a maple fretboard. And, my Gibson ES-335 has a rosewood fretboard. My silver leaf maple and the maple does not look look anything alike. In fact, the silver leaf maple looks much like the rosewood. Can anyone enlighten me on this subject? Thanks.

I have a S6 Seagull Original Slim. Is the fret board made from the same wood as the neck? I doesn't appear to be maple.
