Anyone here tried this upgrade?
I just installed on in my EVH USA Natural Blonde.
First impressions... guitar is slightly heavier, a little less downward travel on the bar but still to slack, acoustically louder and fuller tone. I gigged it last night and noticed the guitar sounds thicker with more clarity in the lower mids and the crunch and sparkle is more defined.
Overal a very cool upgrade. I wont be reverting back to the original block.floyd rose upgrade

I have done this on a couple of guitars and it really does make a difference, even moreso if coming from a zinc block.

That said, on my OLP MM1 with the vintage-style trem decked, I found stainless saddles made a much bigger difference than the brass block. Your kilometrage may vary.

Not sure if that's an upgrade. it looks like a standard brass block.

I don't solder and never have. In truth never heard of this before and cannot imagine why soldering is necessary... but I am interested to know why.

well we are talking about floyd rose, how many solder the string windings before installing new strings.
