I'd love to an lesPaul with a Gibson style headstock to do a peter frapton build. Working a parts job buying a cheaper Gibson is kind of out of my reach and I don't wanna buy a chipson because supporting a company claiming to be something they are not is unethical , but fishbone gives you lots of options for less than $500 with a lot of colour options. And as weird as it sounds they have a purple lesPaul with a flamed maple top that i really find interesting

They look interesting, but for the price I'd probably go for an epiphone as well. I like the Les Paul styles, but I've been burnt on guitars like this before.

At least with epiphone there's some semblance of quality and you can find used high end epis in the same price range.

Unless there is a guitar offered by fishbone with features that you absolutely cannot find anywhere else, I'd steer clear. I'd probably rather look for a low end Gibson from 2013 or 2014 (SGJ, LPJ). You could find one used in the same price range.
