finally got it

SRy i haven't been here in awhile.. I have been looking to buy a fender Espirt or flame model made back in 1984..

I finally found one from a guy in the USA.. They come up on ebay once and awhile, but people dont seem to want to let them go.

I got lucky, not only is this guitar 9.9 /10 it has a Krahler tremolo which Fender just put on a few of the last made.
The model i have is a Fender Elite Flame with a custom color Candy red burst and krahler tremolo and Fender USA hardshell case.

Here is a link so you can understand more of how valuable these guitars are.

I cant figure out how to insert a picture.. I am new to this forum maybe thats why?? can somebody help.

Thanks for looking..

I've always wanted to play and hold one of those. Love to get a little playing time on one. I've heard (from those that own them) that they are really fanastic playing and sounding guitars.
By the way....a great score.

Thanks Pete.. This is the same one i have except mine has the Krahler on it..

I have several guitars and even though the Fender Elite is a nice player it would not be my perfered model to play at a gig.
This guitar's neck is close to a les-paul, but cannot come close for tone and drive.
The Pickups on the Fender are Schaller, good for Jazz or blues, but no good for Rock.
I have a DeArmond starfire that blows this guitar away for tone.

I have heard of a few guys that owneed these, they would change the pickups. I donot want to modify this guitar, and lower its value, I am happy with what i got and bought it, because its a collectors piece but i can also injoy it.

I could not get over the shape its in.. I have a 1982 les paul Custom, that i bought brand new and looked after it, but the condition is not even close to the Fender.

The Fender body is also Chambered.. Very well made guitar right down to the flush mount guitar jack..

IF happen to see one sometime, at a good price grab it. There is one on ebay at the moment. The Black's are not a custom color so they dont usually sell for as much as some of the other models..

Thanks for looking
Rick

Very sweet. I've never seen one either. Must have been Fender's answer to the Les Paul. Wouldn't mind trying one of those puppies out. I also just bought my dream guitar on impulse. Pics will be posted when I get it (very soon I hope).

Good score.

I remember Robben Ford used to play them back in the late '80s. They used to always be adverstised with him in the guitar mags....mostly GP and GFTPM.

To me the Ultra and Esprit were very similar to the Ibanez Artists of the late '70s/early '80s. The Ibanezes were also premium guitars which were produced to literally rival Gibson. I'm sure that was Fender's intent as well.

Enjoy playing that guitar and let's see some pics!
