Fender Jimmie Vaughan Signature Stratocaster. I have had one for 10 1/2 years. The next closest is my Squier VM Jazz bass at two years/ It has been my consistent number 2 and the one I used during my first League of Rock Experience (2011 Contest winner). I had the pickups changed to Fender Hot Noiseless after a year - I have a low tolerance to 60 cycle hum. Since a vintage strat quack tone is not important to me, I've been fairly happy with them. It has a soft V neck profile. I just love the feel of it. I mostly use the neck pickup. I can play the middle one without the hum (really noisey with original one). The whole ergonomic design of the strat is wonderful. Comfortable, good upper fret access. Now if it could sound jsut like a Les Paul, it would be number one.

I remember them they came with tex special pups and were a poplar body.
Mine had the Tex Mex special pups, but with an Alder body. A touch on the heavy side, but that doesn't matter. Or maybe it just feels heavy because my other guitars are a Gibson SG(light) and a Casino Coupe(really light).
