I own a Strat but there is no way in hell I’d go anywhere near Fender’s acoustics.
They have got a premier line out now that is getting some good reviews but also some mixed reviews. There are so many good acoustics being made that even if there are some good ones, why waste your time if they are hit and miss?

Normally I'd agree with you, but my 2nd favorite (tone and feel) acoustic ever, was a cheap starter pack Fender. It somehow got the right pieces of the right trees, and captured the magic. 1 in a billion right?

I liked it way more than any Taylor I've played, and about on par with most Martins. The only guitar that tops it has been a custom built Collings that I took care of for a while.

I played a MIJ Fender F80-12 from 1979 to about 1999, great guitar, rock solid, never had an issue with it. If it was a cut-away, I'd probably still be playing it.
