Got to try out one @FreewayJam was renting one from L&M. Didn't have a lot of time to dial it in, but my initial impression was that it would sound a lot better plugged into an extension cab loaded with a decent 12" speaker.

My dad has the 007 head and we plugged it into my 2x12 last night with a Creamback M & H mix. We used his Les Paul Traditional and it positively roared. The thing has bigger low end than I know what to do with and I love sludgy neck tones. Very responsive eq though, you can mate it well to any guitar. Sounded equally great with a Telecaster and Firebird. Actually the Firebird probably sounded best. Great crunch tones that you can calm down with your guitar's volume. I don't have a bad thing to say about it really. It's not "good for the price" it's just straight up good.

Keep in mind in the video he's got the preamp way down and the master cranked. I'm sure you guys know that, but just case someone new to this tries one in a store wondered why it sounds different.

I want to check out the head and use a cabinet.

Is there any clean headroom on either this or the 15? I assume the 18/30 will get there but that's a pretty hefty amp.
