I thought you might find this interesting. Since I can't afford a real electric five string banjo I've modified a Hamer electric guitar I got in a pawn shop for $120.00. I got rid of the low E sting and tuned it up gDGBD (standard 5-string banjo tuning) ... sometimes you just need humbuckers. I did this off the top of my head so it's a bit ragged.

Also I'm finger-picking, strumming and frailing, made possible because I am playing using mizrabs (sitar fingerpicks), rather than standard finger-picks. I'm also using a bottleneck slide.
