I (and probably many others) find it strange that many couples choose
the stalker song 'every breath you take - the police' as their first dance.

My Grandson was in a science fair last fall and while the organizers were tallying up the points to select the winner, they played a few of these songs and the kids had a ball dancing to them. Picture a gym floor packed with kids doing the "Chicken Dance"

some songs are better when you don't pay too much attention to the lyrics :)
I think many women find HARMLESS "stalker-ish" scenarios intriguing....as long as they are by handsome, wealthy, sensitive/perceptive men and don't involve any sort of violence or intimidation, invasion of privacy or other creepiness lol (so, obviously not stalking as much as "pursuing" or "wooing").Unfortunately, some men find that stuff to be real confusing.
This wasn't the only song of that nature to make women swoon....that James Blunt song comes to mind.

In my day, every wedding song was Bryan Adams "everything I do" followed a few years later by "I swear" by some boy-band (and covered like a year later by a country artist).

Surprised to see Bohemian rhapsody on that list...never heard it even once at a wedding. Mambo #5 should be there instead...and way up the list.
