Is it too late in life for medical school?
I think that is about the only way to get a guaranteed GP in Canada these days.

We get people from the city regularly. Any small towns within an easy day's travel?
Ontario health's answer is "no doctors available, maybe in a couple of months ... sign up for some waiting lists"
the original doc has no one he can to refer me to.
Walk-ins and euthanasia pods are the future here. That’s why the government is so big on MAID and electric cars; those cars are just euthanasia pods – push a button when you’re done and they’ll send someone round to clean up the mess.
I haven’t had a family doctor in 40 years. And same here, anywhere you ask they aren’t taking patients and I’ve pretty much given up on it anyway and once they start using EDI for distribution of medical care I’ll be shit outta luck on that one.

100km?! That's one hour travel. If you can't drive anymore, that sucks somewhat.
Our GP's refer patients to specialists in Regina. That's three hours away. Very common for folks to make a day of it with a friend or family.
But we have three GP's in a town of 1000 people (and surrounding farms). No problem seeing a doctor here. In fact I have to avoid them in public because they always say "Come in for a check-up." To which I reply: "The last time time I did, you stuck your finger up my ass."

My Dr. was great. The kind who'd come visit you in the hospital when you're all doped up on the good shit after a few hours on the cutting slab, and tell you how good you were doing. Quietly moved out of sight when the scamdemic hit, so they wouldn't be put in a position doing something they felt unethical. And so it goes.
One of my assistants is about 30 or 32 or something and she has a young doctor. She’s also on some kind of meds I think for blood pressure and she was telling me that she said to the doctor you know why do I need to come in here every three months to get a scrip renewed couldn’t you just give it to me for a year. Her doctor told her that if she wanted to do that she would need to find another doctor. That’s pretty much exactly what you told me a few days ago.
