American blues guitarist/singer Deborah Coleman passed away recently, a victim of pneumonia. She was 62. I met Deborah years ago at one of her gigs in New York City at a club called Manny's Car Wash that's now defunct. She was a very talented player and singer, and a very sweet lady. Although she was a blues player, one of her biggest influences was Mark Farner of Grand Funk Railroad. RIP.
