I had to really dig to find what this thread is supposed to be about. The OP's link just goes to a flooded hashtag.

This is no surprise to anyone remotely involved in the industry. Not sure how anyone can debate it. The industry has changed dramtically in the past 20 years. Some artists can adapt to the change by leveraging social media and using their status to generate multiple revenue streams via other business opportunities. The more purist artists, the less business-saavy, and those who refuse to change their approach to their art (from a business perspective) will have much more difficulty making ends meet.

As I approach 50 I have to admit I find the thought debilitating. Is this my breaking point? How is this sustainable?
life is tough all over buddy. shucky-darns.
try doing construction past your 50's in this economy, and see how tough touring seems to you after that.
