Remember seeing him in Mont Tremblant back in the late 60's. I think he was doing the Can-Am circuit back then. What a great run he had. RIP.

I think he raced in anything with wheels back in the day and was a top driver in all of them. He even did the NASCAR circuit. Did a lot of designing as well, lots of things bare (bear?) his name.

When you think of it, a racing car driver who lives to the age of 86 is pretty miraculous, ain't it? Almost an oxymoron.

Him and AJ Foyt drove the winning GT40 at Le Mans in 1965 and beat the second place Ferrari by 4 laps. He also built his own F1 car.
