The most consistent, best sounding demos I've heard for any guitar - ever - is the Collings 290.
It's not a shape I've ever bonded with on any other guitar, but I'm hugely impressed with the 290's sound.
The Collings' semi-hollow that I've heard Shawn Tubbs and Linda Taylor play is also super impressive.

Alas, even their most affordable guitar is beyond my grasp. But someday....

Indeed they do. They have a lot of players too!

Been a huge fan of Collings for years. Hopefully one day I can own one.
