OK, here goes with another CITES question: What's required when sending a guitar with rosewood to a US buyer?

The Canadian info looks straightforward and thanks to the others who have posted that one can file in advance...

However....as the seller, do you need to also get the US CITES permit, or is that up to the buyer once you've provided them with the Canadian documentation?

It's a mass-produced guitar and it's not Brazilian rosewood.

Thanks in advance

If it's not Brazillian, you just need a Canadian Export Permit. If it's Braz, you need an export permit and an import permit from the US.

If you can drive it across the border yourself, you don't need any permits as the owner, it's a personal item and under the volume limit for Regular Rosewood. Braz still needs both permits to be driven across the border.
