Many here are familiar with the name Charvel. It was Wayne Charvel that more or less invented the "Superstrat", popularized in the 1980s.

An article in the new issue of Vintage Guitar notes that Wayne Charvel's home, stock/inventory, and workshop was completely wiped out by the Camp Fire that wiped out Paradise, California. No more wood, no more pickups, no more tools, no more templates, no more customer records, no more home. His son indicated that his dad is currently couch-surfing.

Yes, I think Pete Thorn and some other you tubers broadcasted indiegogo campaign to support his recovery.

That is such a terrible loss. At least they survived...

It's kind of odd that he didnt have all types of insurance on the shop given its contents. I wonder if Fender flew him to NAMM?
