Hi,

First post, so I don't know if there is a repair specific thread, but I didn't see it.

I have a fender bullet-style truss rod on my guitar, bullet nut at the headstock and a slotted one at the heel.

I think I've run out of threading at the head and can't turn the bullet anymore to straighten the neck (still too much relief). I'm wondering if I can still adjust at the heel or if running out of thread means I can't tighten anymore on either side?

Thank you.

That doesn't sound good. Have you actually run out of threading at the head, or is the truss rod seized up? Probably means the truss rod/neck is SOL..

Seems to me there's another identical thread. Anyway, if you've run out of thread at the headstock you could try shimming under the bullet nut with some washers.
