Can anyone recommend a Canadian builder to build me a Korina Explorer? It’s gotta be cheaper than what they’re going for.

What are they going for?

Good luck getting a Gibson style built for under $3k.

Did Hamer or Heritage ever do one, or does it have to be gibson?

Ya $3k is what I figured. Knock offs are $4- 8k+. Korina always boosts the price. I kinda want one built with modern hardware, chrome instead of gold, locking tuners, stainless frets, etc. Like a resto-mod car.

Korina is cheaper than Honduran by quite a bit. I've done a couple Futuras and have one korina Futura on the go right now.

I could easily do one for around $3k. If you want a true replica then the price goes up to get the tiny details, like the correct tooling marks and created from measurements from a real 58. There's the price difference. These are secrets pretty well guarded. I have a pretty good friend that has all the info. Here is one of his for sale on another forum. I think it's sold but there are good pics. 58 Explorer

Cheers Peter.
