thanks to @Budda i have now a 1972 El Degas D-35. Abalone binding and rosette (faux mais fabuleuse). Solid top and 8/10 condition. I got him down from $350 to $225. Seller said he's drive 30 min to London to deliver. Budda said he'd receive the guitar for me.

I sent him $235 (lunch money bonus) and voila. En route to toronto we met in milton. I gave him 3 v-picks to try and a big thank you!!!
With further delay presenting ;

I've been thru a thought a ton of these mij acoustics.

The early ones that are post -'69-70 on the lighter side are the gems. Pre '69 are wonky imo. I've got a soft spot for the faux-balone.

I'll be watching for that one down the line in the for sale section... I hope.

Could be. Depends on how she moves with lighter strings.

I will say tho that vg condition and assuredly a solid top. Full evidence in the sound hole. Many of these have a cut/ finish inside there that can make it tough.

I'll do some cell recording with GarageBand for y'all to feast on.
