Has anyone here since a Bruce Cockburn solo show?

I like a bunch of his music from the 80s. I'd likely prefer a full band setting.

Just wondering if it's still good seeing the solo, probably acoustic show.

Thanks.

My wife and I saw a "stripped down" show (a trio - bass & percussion, I think) many years ago. We loved it, but a friend was at the same show and was really disappointed, thinking that it was lacking without the full band. I suspect that if you go knowing what to expect, it will be fine.

(I'd go!)

I've seen him three times with a band and would LOVE to see him solo. I have a few solo live recordings that are just stellar performances, would be awesome to see it live.

Is he performing somewhere?? His website shows only a full band tour later this year.
Bruce Cockburn is playing Fredericton in Sept. I'm quite sure it's a solo show but now positive.

Saw the solo act in Winnipeg, recently... left early.
Saw the band in Thunder Bay, mid-eighties... much better.
Just a preference. Like bw66 said, if you know what to expect, should be OK.

Saw him solo at Jackson Triggs a couple of years ago, and was not impressed. It has been years since seeing him with a band, but remember that being a much more dynamic show.
